Our Story
Melissa and Richard meet in a bar called Luka's Lounge in Oakland, CA. After a long night of chatting, he asks her out to dinner and they exchange phone numbers.
OCTOBER 11, 2016 - First Date
Richard picks Melissa up on a Tuesday since her night class was cancelled and they have dinner. After dinner they grab drinks and laugh the night away.
APRIL 28, 2022 - The Proposal
Richard invites Melissa to take their puppy Logan out for a walk at their favorite park. After walking for about 15 minutes, the park is empty and Melissa is sitting with Logan at their favorite bench overlooking the San Francisco skyline. Richard pulls the ring out from his pocket and gets down on one knee. While Melissa is in shock, Richard asks her to marry him and she says YES!

AIRPORTS - OAK & SFO
Oakland International Airport is 11 miles from the wedding venue and 13 miles from the hotel listed below.
San Francisco International Airport is 30 miles from the wedding venue and 21 miles from the hotel listed below.
Flying into Oakland is closer, but please keep in mind that there are more flight options and availability flying into San Francisco. Airfare prices for both airports are about the same. Choose whichever works best for you!
HOTEL - Four Points by Sheraton San Francisco Bay Bridge
Chabot Space & Science Center's (wedding venue) preferred hotel is the Four Points by Sheraton SF Bay Bridge. This hotel is 10 miles away from the wedding venue and includes complimentary parking should you need it. It is walking distance to the Bay Street shopping mall and the Public Market where you can find various food vendors.
The hotel is only reserving a certain number of rooms at a discounted rate of $189/night for Thursday, 10/5-Monday, 10/9.

If you decide to book by phone, please let them know that you are part of the Andaya/Moralez room block.

Parking at the Wedding Venue
Convenient, free parking is available in the adjacent 3-level parking structure. Additional parking for special events is available on weekends in the Staff Lot (near the Observatory) or in the West Lot off Skyline Blvd.
Accessible parking is available near the main entrance to Chabot. Parking spaces for vehicles with disabled parking permits are located across from the parking structure – on the left coming up the driveway from Skyline Blvd. A drop-off area is also located in front of the main entrance.
Cars can be left overnight in the parking structure if you'd like to use Uber or Lyft for a ride home.

📍10:00am-11:30am - Estate Tour & Tasting at V. Sattui Winery, tour & tasting of 5 wines & platter of house-cured charcuterie & artisanal cheeses (St. Helena, CA)
📍12:00pm - Depart for Downtown Napa
📍12:30pm-2:30pm - Explore Downtown Napa (list of things to do: https://donapa.com/ (https://donapa.com/))
📍2:30pm - Depart back to Four Points By Sheraton (Emeryville, CA)
The total cost is $120/person. This includes transportation @ $40 (includes all stops listed) and the winery @ $80 (includes tour, tasting, charcuterie, tax & service fee). There are no specific plans for Downtown Napa, everyone is free to explore!

It is also football Sunday! The San Francisco 49ers will play the Dallas Cowboys (booooo!) at 5:00pm. We will be gathering at Melissa’s parents house (148 Thrush Court Hercules, CA 94547) to grill & watch the game if you'd like to join!
